SSS112 Sketch Challenge









Supplies:Our Daily Bread Designs: 'Serve The Lord' Stamp Set। Crocheted Circle Die.Stampin' Up!: Chalk 'Pastels', Whisper White Cardstock, Vellum , and 'Dimensionals'। Ranger: 'Stickles' Glitter Glue Orange Peel, Baby Blue, Frosted Lace, Scattered Straw. Studio G Glitter Glue Yellow and Green. Stamp image on white cardstock. Run die with stamped image through die machine. I stamped my image two more times and layered one on another (so that is was three high). Use the chalks or water-color crayons to add color where desired. Then I randomly placed glitter-glue just where it was pleasing to my eye. On the stems, flowers, etc. A SU 'Build-a-brad' acrylic clear top exactly fit on top of the 'post-mark' part of the stamped image. The card base was embossed with a 'Tim Holtz' folder after spreading orange litter-glue randomly across the card. Also I used orange, blue and yellow stamp-pads across the middle of the front dragging color across card. The vellum I sponged orange around and used as a base for the yellow frame.The ribbon is 'Crushed Curry' Polka-dot by SU. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog! Any questions please ask. I have been taking a class on Mixed Media and I love it....unfortunately I am very slow at it.  There is a bit of stamping on this project but it is mostly paint, artist spackle, india ink, chalk and gel medium.  This is very different than the usual work I do.....and I am glad that I tried it.  Also I used Tim Holtz digital pictures and several of his stamps.  I used pan pastels and inca gold on various stencils.  The little girl in the picture is my Mother when she was young.  It was fun to incorporate a family picture with the art.  Also the date on the project says March 31st....but my camera is not displaying the correct date.  It is always something!  Thanks for stopping by to look at my project!  Why don't you try something you haven't done before?  You may like it!
