Stampin' Up! Christmas Ornament

Image
I saw a video by Linda Heller on how to make this ornament.  In case you haven't seen it...this is the link!  http://lindastamps.wordpress.com/2012/08/07/holiday-catalog-ornament-2-videos/?utm    I added a pearl and tassle at the bottom.  This project takes time but is well worth the end result.   Any time I receive an ornament....when I place it on the tree the next year I always think of the person who gave it to me.  Who can you give an ornament to this year? Blessings....

MOJO 267 Challenge

Sometimes it takes a challenge to motivate me into getting started with my cards and I sure do like the challenges here http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2012/11/mojo-monday-267.html  . This card has a mixture of Stampin'up papers, Michaels ribbon, some antique glass balls, gold elastic, a Michael's chipboard snowflake, SU embossing powder, Diamond Dust and Rubber Cafe Crystals. Thanks for taking the time to look at my project!  Any questions please ask!

Holiday Card Workshop Day 4

Image
This card is from Day 4 'Online Card Classes' Holiday Workshop.  So all I can say is that sometimes my class projects are out of order on my blog because I make the cards when I am moved to be creative and....I am never sure what is going to strike me on any particular day.  This card was fun to make but I know I need more practice with my Copic Markers!  Practice makes perfect as they say.  Who is 'they' by the way?  If you aren't familiar with the markers they are alcohol based.  The workshop can be found at www.onlinecardclasses.com  Holiday Card Workshop.  The artist that demonstrated how to make the card is Sandy Allnock Supplies: Stamp:  Stampendous (Santa) and Stampin Up 'Be Merry'. Copic Markers:  Light Gray, Dark Gray, Red, Green, Navy, Light Blue. Cardstock:  Gumball Green and Whisper White (Stampin' Up). Punch:  Corner Chomper Ink:  Stazon Black and Distress Vintage Photo. Holiday Card Workshop Day 1

Image
This class started on Monday....and as usual I am a little behind.  At any rate here is my first assignment or at least part of it.  The card is 3" X 3" and the envelope to fit is Stampin' Up.  Yes....I could make my own but since I was running slow....I decided to just stamp the front of a small envelope.  The teacher for this assignment is Kristina Werner.....and we website is www.onlinecardclasses.com (Holiday Workshop Day 1).  This is a great on-line class resource and since you always have access to past class information and videos....I will keep taking more and more classes!   This is a simple card.... Card base is 3" X 6" Whisper White Cardstock (Stampin Up!). Next I chose a patterned paper and cut the first layer 2 3/4" X 2 3/4".  The third layer is the stamped image layer.  This is 2 1/2" X 2 1/2".  Next I stamped the image with Stazon black ink.  The color is Copic Markers.  These are attached ...

'All Things Tim' Christmas Patchwork Swatches

Image
These are pictures are of the swatches I sent in to our Host 'Mom' from my 'All Things Tim' group. If you are much of a crafter I am sure you have heart of Tim Holtz.  He is an amazing artist and also a Designer for Ranger Inc.  If you care to look...check out www.timholtz.com  and you will be amazed. Currently I am part of this swap where you are assigned a certain size of a piece of a patchwork.  We were assigned 27 pieces....and mine was 2" X 3".  Finally I am done....and soon I will receive all of the other pieces and assemble them into a 12" X 12" work of art.  Maybe I should say....works of art.  How amazing to get mini masterpieces from all over the world and be able to look at it every year for many years to come.  I don't enter many swaps but this one is one I could not pass up.  Supplies I used: Grungepaper Embossing folder (Tim Holtz - Alterations Brick Wall) Gesso Watercolor Paper Stazon Ink (Black)...
